The $283k System That Started With Six Months Of Getting Nowhere

(Everyone loves an origin story. This one involves LinkedIn, two babies, and a frankly embarrassing amount of money spent on software.)

Hi, I'm Jack.

I run LeadFinesse. I help consultants, contractors, and agencies stop cobbling together a client base from referrals and crossed fingers — and start running a proper system that brings in consistent, predictable revenue.

But let me rewind a bit, because the way I got here is probably relevant to where you are right now.

The Expensive Education

A couple of years ago I joined a LinkedIn outreach community with big ambitions and — let's be honest — very little clue what I was doing.

I spent six months sending messages. Getting nowhere. Tweaking my profile. Sending more messages. Still getting nowhere. It was, to use the technical term, demoralising.

Meanwhile I was pouring money into courses, CRMs, outreach tools, LinkedIn programmes, funnel builders — anything that promised to crack the code. By the time I'd figured out what actually worked, I'd spent somewhere in the region of $40,000 to $50,000 finding out what didn't.

Not my proudest financial era. But a very thorough one.

The Bit Where It Actually Clicked

Here's what changed: I stopped thinking about outreach as a series of tactics and started thinking about it as a system.

Not just the messages. The whole thing. The targeting. The follow-up. The backend that kept leads warm when I wasn't actively working them. The daily process I could repeat in an hour without having to reinvent the wheel every morning.

Once that clicked — properly clicked — things moved fast.

Eight clients in the next 30 days.

Then I kept building. Refined the targeting. Built the automation. Added the content engine. Documented everything so it ran whether I was at my desk or not. Eighteen months later: $283,000 in revenue.

Spent figuring it out. So you don't have to.

The Part I'm Most Proud Of

Here's the context that matters.

During those 18 months, my wife gave birth to our first son. Then our second. I was working semi-part-time because I wanted to actually be there — not just technically present while staring at a laptop.

I was still hitting $15k/month recurring. On paternity leave.

That's not a flex. That's the whole point. The system runs when you can't. That's what makes it a business instead of a very stressful job you gave yourself.

Why LeadFinesse Exists

I built LeadFinesse because I spent years and a small fortune figuring out what the system actually looks like — and I wanted to give consultants, contractors, and agencies a shortcut to the version that works.

Not the version that sounds good in a webinar. The version I actually use. The one I tested, broke, fixed, and rebuilt until it produced consistent results regardless of what was happening in my life at the time.

If you're good at what you do and you just need the pipeline to match — that's what I'm here for.
